Text and image watermark options

Text watermark

Add labels such as CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, SAMPLE, INTERNAL USE, or a company name using a standard PDF font.

Logo or image watermark

Upload a PNG or JPEG logo and control its placement, transparency, size, and rotation on the selected pages.

Selected pages

Apply the watermark to the complete document or use page ranges such as 1-3,5,8.

Local processing

The PDF and watermark are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to a 2PDF2 document server.

What does watermark opacity mean?

Lower opacity makes the watermark more transparent so the document remains easier to read. Higher opacity makes the watermark more visible. For large central watermarks, a lower opacity is usually easier to read.

Single watermark or repeated pattern?

A single watermark is placed in the selected page position. Repeated mode distributes several copies across each selected page. Repeated watermarks are useful when the label should remain visible even if part of a page is cropped.

How the watermark is placed

The watermark is added as visible page content over the existing PDF page. Use lower opacity when you want the original document to remain easy to read.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Watermark PDF tool free to use?

Yes. The current 2PDF2 Watermark PDF tool can be used without a paid account.

Is my PDF uploaded to 2PDF2?

The watermarking process runs in your browser and does not intentionally send the selected PDF or image to a 2PDF2 server. Normal webpage requests to third-party services may still occur; see the Privacy Policy.

Can I watermark only certain pages?

Yes. Choose Selected pages and enter values such as 1-3,5,8.

Can I use a transparent PNG logo?

Yes. Transparent PNG images are supported and work well for logos and branding marks.

Does the watermark prevent PDF copying?

No. A watermark adds visible page content. It does not encrypt the PDF, prevent copying, or provide digital-rights management.

Can I watermark a password-protected PDF?

Encrypted or password-protected PDFs may not open in this tool. Use an authorized method to remove the protection first.
