How to convert Excel to PDF

Choose the right PDF layout
Readable pages
Wide worksheets are divided into smaller column groups and row sections. This helps prevent extremely small text when a spreadsheet contains many columns.
Fit all columns
Keeps all used columns in the same horizontal section and scales them to fit the PDF page width. This is useful when seeing the complete row structure together matters most.
Common spreadsheet formatting
The converter attempts to reproduce values, basic number display, fonts, alignment, borders, fills, column widths, row heights, and merged cells.
Local processing
The selected XLSX workbook is processed in your browser instead of being uploaded to a 2PDF2 server for conversion.
What happens to formulas?
Excel formulas are not recalculated by this browser converter. When the workbook contains a cached formula result, the displayed value can be rendered. If a formula has no stored result, its visible output may be incomplete. The PDF is a static document and does not contain working spreadsheet formulas.
Why Excel and the PDF may look different
Microsoft Excel uses its own worksheet layout, print settings, chart engine, fonts, drawing layer, and pagination rules. This tool recreates worksheet content with browser HTML and then captures the rendered table into PDF pages. Standard tables and reports can convert well, while advanced Excel features may differ.
Visible and hidden worksheet content
The converter processes visible worksheets. Hidden worksheets are skipped. Hidden rows and columns, print areas, manual page breaks, repeating print titles, and custom Excel print scaling are not guaranteed to match Excel's own PDF export.
Supported Excel format
This browser tool supports modern .xlsx workbooks. It does not support the older binary .xls format. Open a legacy XLS file in Excel or another compatible spreadsheet application and save it as XLSX before using the converter.

Is my Excel workbook uploaded to 2PDF2?
The converter processes the selected XLSX in your browser and does not intentionally send that workbook to a 2PDF2 server for conversion. Normal webpage requests to third-party services may still occur; see the Privacy Policy.
Will charts and PivotTables appear exactly like Excel?
Not reliably. This converter focuses on worksheet cells and common formatting. Charts, PivotTables, slicers, shapes, images, and other drawing-layer features may be missing or different.
Are formulas preserved in the PDF?
No. A PDF is static. The converter uses the displayed or cached cell result where available rather than placing working Excel formulas into the PDF.
Which layout should I use for a wide spreadsheet?
Start with Readable pages because it splits wide worksheets into smaller column groups. Use Fit all columns when keeping every column together is more important than text size.
Can password-protected Excel files be converted?
Encrypted or password-protected XLSX files may not be readable by this browser tool. Use an authorized method to remove the protection first.
