Quality-preserving crop: this tool changes the PDF page CropBox instead of turning the page into a screenshot. Text, images, and vector page content are not intentionally rasterized.

Crop is not secure redaction. Content outside the visible CropBox can remain inside the PDF file even though ordinary viewers hide it. Do not use Crop PDF to permanently remove confidential information.

Different page sizes: when one crop is applied to several pages, the same relative percentage margins are used. This makes the crop adapt to A4, Letter, portrait, landscape, and other page dimensions.

Digitally signed PDFs: changing page boxes rewrites the PDF and may invalidate an existing certificate-based digital signature.

Privacy note: the selected PDF is processed in your browser. 2PDF2 does not intentionally upload the document to its own server for cropping. The webpage may still connect to third-party code-delivery, analytics, or advertising services as described in our Privacy Policy.

How to crop a PDF

Select Choose PDF file and open one PDF.
Drag the crop rectangle or its handles until only the area you want to keep is inside the box.
Choose Current page, All pages, or Selected pages.
Select Apply crop. Repeat on other pages when you need different crop areas.
Select Save cropped PDF and download the validated result.

Does cropping reduce PDF quality?

This tool does not intentionally rasterize pages. It changes each selected page's CropBox, which defines the region displayed and printed by PDF viewers. The existing text, images, and vector content remain part of the PDF structure.

Does cropping permanently delete hidden content?

No. Cropping controls the visible page region but should not be treated as a secure deletion method. Content outside the CropBox can remain in the file. Use a dedicated secure redaction workflow when confidential information must be permanently removed.

Why use percentage-based crop margins?

Percentage margins make it possible to apply one visual crop consistently across differently sized pages. For example, removing 5% from each edge works proportionally on portrait, landscape, A4, Letter, and other page sizes.

Is the Crop PDF tool free to use?

Yes. The current 2PDF2 Crop PDF tool can be used without a paid account.

Is my PDF uploaded to 2PDF2?

The PDF is processed in your browser and is not intentionally uploaded to a 2PDF2 server for cropping.

Can I crop only one PDF page?

Yes. Navigate to that page, choose Current page, adjust the crop rectangle, and select Apply crop.

Can I crop pages 2 through 10 but leave page 1 unchanged?

Yes. Choose Selected pages, enter 2-10, and apply the crop.

Can every page have a different crop?

Yes. Apply the crop to Current page, navigate to the next page, adjust the crop area, and repeat.

Will cropping remove confidential information?

Not securely. Cropping changes the visible page area but content outside that area may remain in the PDF structure. Use a true redaction tool for permanent confidential-data removal.

Can I crop a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Unlock an authorized protected PDF first, then crop the unencrypted copy.
